Alliance Française Calgary - Paint and Wine

Paint & Wine

>  Painting Workshop

Join painter Patricia Lortie at the Alliance Française for a painting workshop in French focused on creating an original composition from a printed photograph.

For this session, Patricia will provide a selection of black-and-white printed photos. Participants will choose one image, attach it to a background, and build a unique composition inspired by it. You will receive basic guidance on composition, then be free to explore, interpret, and create around your chosen image, letting your creativity take the lead.

This intuitive and accessible workshop encourages observation, experimentation, and personal expression in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

The workshop will last 1 hour and 30 minutes. Materials will be provided by our instructor, but you are welcome to bring your own painting supplies. Enjoy a glass of wine (for adults) while letting your creativity flow!

  • Date: Friday, March 6th
  • Time: 6:15 PM
  • Location: Alliance Française's Library
  • Admission: $30 for AF members and $90 for non-members (include 1-year membership).
